6 Simple Ways to Declutter Your Home and Kick Overwhelm Out
With Covid continuing to impact how we organize our lives (schedules, systems, and spaces), many of us anticipated using this extra time at home to get organized. However, that hasn’t happened due to challenges (lack of time, energy, motivation, effective strategies) and here are 6 ways to make progress: put things away as you go; do a daily timed tidying up; when one item comes in, one goes out; create a touchdown station; limit your to-do list; and plan your organizing time. By incorporating these six techniques, you can organize more efficiently and accomplish more on your to-do list -even during a pandemic.
Summer can be both a dream and a challenge for ADHD creatives like me.
On one hand, the season offers wide-open days, long light evenings, and the freedom to wander, travel, or relax on the deck with a book and a cold beverage.
That looseness can feel expansive, energizing, and full of possibility.
On the other hand, without the grounding of structure, I often feel unmoored—flakey, scattered, and anxious.
The lack of clear plans or routines may look like freedom from the outside, but on the inside, it can create uncertainty and stress.
